Make me one with everything

Oh sunny day! How best to enjoy you for a few stolen moments in the afternoon, on the drive between my desk at the office and my desk at home?

A trip to Speed's, of course -- the hot dog truck in Newmarket Square that turns out what the Wall Street Journal recently determined is the best dog in the country. The huge Pearl hot dogs are marinated in apple cider vinegar and brown sugar, then grilled over charcoal. The bun is toasted there, too. Today Speed -- a.k.a. Ezra Anderson -- himself wasn't there, but his apprentice was doing a fine job. And there was barely even a line.

This is the setup inside the truck.

Because I felt I should, I got it with the works: mustard, sweet sauce, relish, and chili. Trust me -- what it lacks in beauty, it makes up for in flavor.
