We thought it was good PR

Samak Sundaravej, the Prime Minister of Thailand, was forced to resign because he took money for two television cooking shows.
According to the Associated Press: "Before taking office seven months ago, Samak played host to the popular 'Tasting and Complaining' show, which featured traditional Thai cooking and discussion of subjects of Samak's choosing. He also made a few appearances on the show after becoming prime minister."
The International Herald Tribune reported this: "A hardened and sharp-tongued politician, Samak, 73, has shown a folksy side on his televised cooking show."
Politicians who are cooking and showing folksy sides beware.
