Fifth grade children from the Williamsburg (Mass.) Elementary School formed a partnership with Fertile Ground initiative to create a farm-to-school program. State Rep Stephen Kulik is hosting an exhibit in the State House's Doric Hall that records the childrens' perspective in a new methodology called PhotoVoice.

The exhibit, called Snap Peas, includes the childrens' photos when they were gardening in the spring. Fertile Ground offers school programs for the garden in Western Mass. You're never too young to become a locovore.

  1. Now this is what I want to see some public funds put towards. Learning about where our food comes from, doing the work itself, enjoying eating what you have learned and all the while being outdoors, interacting with others and creating good habits to combat obesity. Thank you Fertile Ground.
