This is a beautiful thing. Aaron, a Somerville resident who co-writes the blog Unlikely Words, has put together a compendium of the best online material related to Peeps, the sugary Easter treats. This is a gathering of 130 Peeps sites, peeps. He calls it "Marshmallow Peeps On the Internet -- A Study." It's a truly underfunded area of research, and I commend Aaron for his enterprising work.

If you want to see Peeps in the microwave, Peeps having surgery performed on them, an Obama made out of Peeps, Peeps demonstrating against Peeps cruelty, and oh so much more, this is the place to go.

The Recipe Box Project:

If you want to contribute a recipe to The Recipe Box Project, please write it below. Also tell us where you got it (package box, cookbook, mom, friend -- include the name). We're looking for the kinds of dishes that people grew up on, that were served at family suppers, that tell a story, that are typically New England, or that you brought with you from a far away place to New England. We will print one of the recipes in the Food section once a month. To ask any questions, write to Debra Samuels, who is overseeing this project, at recipebox@globe.com. To discuss your recipes, click here.
