Finding your favorite food truck gets easier
If you'd like to know where your favorite food truck in Boston is, it's about to get easier.
The website Roaminghunger.com, which has a mapping system that tracks food trucks in cities from Austin to Chicago to New York to Miami to San Francisco to Denver to Seattle to Washington, has decided that Boston deserves some love, too. As of August 1, Boston food trucks (like Grilled Cheese Nation, at left) will appear on its mapping system, because of the city's "rising status as a mobile munch hotspot."
How does it work? According to their website, "We use real time tweets and calendars to track our vendors." You can find food trucks on the iPhone application or by logging into the website.
That said, don't take any long trips to chase down a food truck based on Roaminghunger. The trucks are on the move a lot, and there is no guarantee they'll be there when you get there.
