KIRSTEN AMANN

AGE: 31
Residence: South End
Occupation: Freelance publicist and writer; waitress/bartender at Toro
LUPEC alter ego: Pink Lady
Favorite bars: It’s like asking a mother to choose her favorite child. Let’s start with the places I frequent most often: Drink, Toro, and Eastern Standard.
Spirit of choice: My favorite spirit is Applejack, America’s oldest distilled spirit, originally made in New Jersey — like me. Lately, I am quite obsessed with Chartreuse.
When you’re not mixing drinks, we’ll find you . . . Writing about drinks or doing yoga — yin and yang and all that.
What makes this a good holiday drink? People usually think of eggnog or spicy hot toddies or Champagne cocktails for the holidays, but I think anything goes. A good holiday drink is one you can make and serve simply to a whole bunch of people as you toast many times.
