Party as 'Mad Men' might
Recipes for something a little tastier than a belt of bourbon and Lucky Strikes to toast to the season finale of "Mad Men" on AMC.
Scollay's Old Fashioned, Scollay Square (21 Beacon St.)
1 1/2 ounce Seagrams V.O.
2 ounces soda water
2 splashes each, Angostura and orange bitters
1 teaspoon sugar
Maraschino cherries and orange and lime peel
Muddle sugar, a cherry, the orange and lime peel, and a splash of soda with the bitters in a rocks glass for 10 seconds. Remove the fruit with the spoon leaving the residue in the glass. Fill a rocks glass with ice and add V. O. and the soda water. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and an orange slice.
