Wine expert Kevin Zraly's bubbly buying tips
"Like how BMW has a 3 series, a 5 series, and so forth, champagne has three different levels," explained Zraly. "The lowest will have a label that reads non-vintage/NV or MV, which stands for multiple vintages."
"The next level, or the 5 series, would be a vintage champagne. The 7 series is a luxury champagne but there's no reason to spend that kind of money. I don't even as a professional because I drink too much of it. I would buy a $35 bottle of champagne non-vintage and stick with the major houses: Taittinger, Moet Chandon, and such."
