Once again, wines from Western Europe dominated the pool of wines suggested by our retailers (35 of 50 originated in either France, Spain, Italy, or Portugal). Of non-European entries, a total of six came either from Chile or Argentina, two from the United States, and two from Australia. There was a single candidate -- a red -- from South Africa.
