A treasure trove of historic documents go on display at the Sotheby's Boston office for one day only on March 24. Take a peek at some of the items up for auction.

In a document signed by Cotton Mather (circa 1708), Mather singles out the sinners of Harvard in a breathless account of brazen all-night booze and card parties. The clergyman would go on to become president of Yale a decade later.
