6 readers get poetic in 'sijo' contest
Two weeks ago, G ran a story about Harvard professor David McCann and his quest to popularize a three-line Korean poetry form called the sijo. We ran a contest and you responded.
McCann (pictured) read 85 sijo and picked one winner, four runners-up, and one honorable mention. Thank you to all who participated -- and a special thank to the good professor. The contest may be over, but sijo isn't. Boston.com will keep this message board running for any poets out there who want to write and share sijo.
