"Bueller" schooled us on having fun
In 1986, Matthew Broderick twist-and-shouted his way into America's hearts with "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," another mid-'80s gem by writer/director John Hughes. The movie, alongside flicks like "Pretty in Pink" and "The Breakfast Club," provided ample employment for an ensemble cast known as the "brat pack".
