Today is International Climate Change Awareness Day, a good time to think about all that nasty carbon dioxide floating around. The environmental organization www.350.org is all about reducing global levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide to 350 parts per million or less. To help the cause, Boston-based performers will deliver six styles of music and dance from around the world at “Playing for the Planet.’’ Artists include Libana, a women’s world music ensemble, and the Agbekor Drum and Dance Society. 6:30 p.m. $20, $15 students and seniors. First Congregational Church of Cambridge, 11 Garden St., Cambridge. 781-396-0734. www.warrensenders.com
