Australia's largest city kicked off a global dimming when it turned off its lights Saturday night for one hour in an effort to combat climate change. Sydney is the first of more than 370 cities and towns in more than 35 countries from Fiji to Ireland to Canada to take part in Earth Hour, organizers said.
