Yale seeking 2,500 people to take 'sustainability pledge'
It's not exactly writing 50 lines on a chalkboard. It's more.
Recognizing a wave of support for improving our environment, Yale University is seeking at least 2,500 students, faculty or staff to sign a "sustainability pledge.'' The vow requires each person to commit to at least three things in their everyday life to better the Earth, as well as encourage at least three other people to take the pledge.
Among the choices:
--Walk, bike or take public transportation on your commute at least twice a week.
--Take at least two reusable bags with you when you shop.
--Unplug your laptop, phone charger and adapters when not in use.
--Carry a reusable mug for hot beverages.
The drive will be launched on Tuesday, Earth Day. Here's the pledge itself, and here's more information..
