Cape Wind's place in the world

Posted by bdaley July 1, 2008 06:12 AM

The final federal decision on Nantucket Sound's wind farm could be out this fall - seven years after the project was first proposed. If it is approved, it still may not be built: Cape Wind, the project's developer, will likely be facing multiple lawsuits from people who don't like the aesthetics of 130 turbines off Cape Cod.

There is a good, where-we-are-at story about offshore wind in the most recent BusinessWeek that makes the point that offshore wind - like it or not - is coming. The feds are creating permitting rules. A flurry of real projects are slowly making their way from Delaware to Rhode Island. Click here for the article:

  1. This is a perfect example of phony "green"! If you don't jump on the green band wagon you'll "miss out" on all of those greenbacks that won't be coming your way. My face is green, I think I'm going to puke.
