Why won't anyone carpool?

Posted by David Beard, Boston.com Staff July 18, 2008 01:52 PM

Gas is over $4 a gallon. Adults are learning how to bicycle. Ridership on the MBTA is soaring.

What's up with carpooling?

In the upcoming Globe Magazine, writer Alison Lobron explores the issue -- and finds some surprises. Here's a link to her article.

Let us know if you carpool, if it works for you? Or if you've tried it, and just said no.

  1. I have carpooled in the past and one worked the other didn't. If carpools members are always running late (making you late for work) or constantly want to switch off carpool driver days - screwing up the usual schedule - carpooling isn't worth the aggravation.

  1. Hi, I would love to carpool as I commute from Beverly to Wellesley, but I can't because I work long and erratic hours, so it would be tough to synch up other schedule like mine. Thanks for the article, though!

  1. Beverly to Wellesley? That would make me crazy. Maybe people should live a little closer to where they work.
