Solar-powered plane sets endurance record

It's unmanned, and boy, can it stay aloft.

The British-built Zephyr, tested in Arizona, stayed in the air more than 68 hours -- an unoffical record for an unmanned plane, according to the BBC.

More impressive even: it's solar-charged batteries were strong enough to fly throughout the night because they were recharging during the day, the report said. Click here to see the full text, plus images and graphics on the place.
