Globe environmental reporter honored by Sierra Club

Posted by Gideon Gil September 23, 2008 01:35 PM

Beth Daley, the Globe's environmental reporter and a frequent contributor to this blog, has received the national Sierra Club's David R. Brower Award for her coverage of environmental issues. The environmental group's announcement of the award singled out Beth's series last year on the regional effects of climate change, "The 45th parallel: Warming where we live."

"Connecting such global issues to people's everyday lives and even offering some local solutions is no small task. The Globe and Beth's reporting accomplished this with great detail and objectivity," said James McCaffrey, director of the Sierra Club Massachusetts Chapter.
