My buddies over in our sports department, who do an amazing job covering the Boston Marathon each year, are looking for qualified Boston Marathon runners to test some training gear provided by Polar USA and share their experiences with it.

If you agree to wear and test this gear, and promise to blog about it, you'll get to keep the Polar RCX5 G5 Optimized training computer, which records a variety of training data and features a GPS.

Here's more about what the sports folks are looking for:

You must be qualified for this year's marathon and be willing to share the data tracked by the products, especially on the day of the Boston Marathon itself. You should also be computer-savvy enough to set yourself up with a training page on Polar's personal trainer web site.

The deadline for submissions is Friday at 5 p.m. Interested? E-mail Boston.com's sports editor, Matt Pepin, with your name, age, hometown, qualifying time, and where you recorded it, along with a brief summary of why you should be chosen (including topics you'd write about, your marathon history, and your interest in training technology).
