What I did: Couch to 5K training program (30 minutes), Weights: 20 minutes
On my playlist: Real thing, by 2 Unlimited

Ok: Another new goal for myself this week (noticing a pattern, I really like to give myself a different task each week to complete to keep from getting bored.).

Move more while at work.

This one is going to be very, very tough.

I'm good at getting up before work and exercising. I'm pretty good at eating healthy (this is still very much a work in progress every day), but one place I fall down often is moving at work.

My work here has me tied to my computer for much of the day. Which, by my FitBit stats, translates to about 6 hours of sitting a day. That much sitting, studies have shown, can have terrible effects on your health.

So, since I can't afford a treadmill desk, I'm instituting a new set of rules for myself based on advice that Reg B. Wilcox, a clinical supervisor in the Department of Rehabilitation Services at Brigham and Women's Hospital, gave me for staying healthy at work:
1. Walk to the furthest bathroom on this floor when I need to use the ladies room (my sneaky way of eeking out a few more steps during the day)
2. Make sure to eat lunch away from my desk and take the stairs to get wherever I'm going to eat (likely our cafeteria upstairs)
3. Only eat food I bring to the office (so that leftover birthday cake is not an option.)

I tried to make these rules things that are not impossible for me to achieve, and make me think about how long I've been sitting at my desk.

What do you to keep moving while at work? What are your tricks?
