OK folks, I'm sure by now you have figured out that I'm a sucker for free classes, so this "fit things to do" suggestion definitely gets points in my book on that count.

The city's campaign for obesity prevention is hosting an event to announce free opportunities to get active this summer, including boot camp and yoga, at Boston's City Hall Plaza on Monday, June 4 at 11 a.m.

During the event, you'll be able to participate in introductory classes given by Health Yoga Life, South Boston Yoga, and Beantown Bootcamp.

On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in June, July, and August, instructors from these studios will be leading free classes on the plaza for the public to enjoy.

Health Yoga Life will hold their first class starting next Wednesday, while Boot camp and the other yoga class will start in July.

If you've never done these activities before, this could be a good opportunity to try them at no cost.

Another bonus: Free Boston Moves T-shirts will go to the first 100 people that sign up for the Mayor's challenge to lose 1 million pounds at the event. Learn more about the challenge here.
