My half marathon playlist

This Sunday.
My half marathon is THIS SUNDAY!
And while I'm freaking out and eating a giant 'ole bowl of nerves just about every morning for breakfast, I'm also trying to focus on the stuff I know I can control during the race.

I can control my pace, and my will to succeed. I can control my fluid intake. My breathing. And the other thing I can control is the music I will listen to while running.

My playlist is one part of my race prep that I really enjoy. A few posts ago, I told you more about how I prepare, and asked you for suggestions for songs. This being my first race, I'm definitely using music (not trying *this* again quite yet), and I've loved getting suggestions from all of you.

My playlist is always made up of songs that remind me of folks who have helped me achieve my goals. That way, if I'm having a hard time during the race I just crank up the tunes and think of that person (thus taking my mind off of whatever is bothering me during the race).

So, without further ado, here's a snapshot of the race-day playlist you helped me create:

These are songs I would not normally run to, but were all suggested by friends, family, and, of course, you! All told I have about 40 songs on my playlist, but I just wanted to give you a glimpse into the diverse mix you all suggested. What do you like to listen to?
