A look at Paul Levy, former chief of Beth Israel
A 2003 Globe Magazine article dubbed Levy "Mr. Fix-It!" Levy led the court-ordered cleanup of Boston Harbor during his tenure with the MWRA, bringing the project to completion on time and on budget. Levy joined Beth Israel as CEO and president in 2002.
Unlike prior presidents, Levy was not a physician. The board said it hired him because he had run several complex organizations during times of crisis.
Levy posed with Red Sox owner John Henry and Sox Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Sam Kennedy in 2006.
