First full face transplant in US performed

Brigham and Women’s Hospital surgeons performed the first full face transplant in the United States, attaching a donor's face to Dallas Wiens, 25, (shown right) who suffered severe burns in a horrific electrical accident in 2008, the hospital said. Here, Wiens, one year after his April 2011 transplant, spoke with the media about his recovery.
