First full face transplant in US performed

Brigham and Womens Hospital surgeons performed the first full face transplant in the United States, attaching a donor's face to Dallas Wiens, 25, (shown right) who suffered severe burns in a horrific electrical accident in 2008, the hospital said.
Here, Wiens, one year after his April 2011 transplant, spoke with the media about his recovery. Wiens told reporters the surgery has given him the ability to smile again and feel his daughter's kisses
