"Many companies have become a lot more open to telecommuting, but it still remains out there in general public that if you're not in the office, that youre not being as productive," Fraone said. "In fact, research shows that people can be even more productive and can focus better when working outside of the office." Fraone said if you can demonstrate that you can get results and do what needs to get done then telecommuting can be a win-win for both employer and employee.
