One Number to Remember on Contraception -- 58%

I am a fan of a national organization of physicians and medical students called "Doctors for America" started by a fantastic young local physician named Dr. Vivek Murthy -- someone worth watching.   Back in January, DFA members created an arresting info graphic (shown below) to express their views as physicians on the contraception controversy, before Obama announced his compromise position.

Catch that?  58 percent of women who use contraceptives use it at least in part for reasons other than birth control: menstrual pain and regulation, acne, endometriosis, and other medical reasons.  58 percent! 

Maybe everybody else already knew this.  I sure as heck didn't.  I wonder how many of the bishops know this?  I wonder if Sen. Scott Brown knows ...
