TIERS OF JOY
The delightfully quirky Artifaktori (22 College Ave., Somerville, 617-776-3708, www.artifaktori.com) has much of its men's and women's vintage wear on sale through Sunday. As part of a tiered markdown system, fall and winter coats and boots (except cowboy boots) are 15 percent off; sweaters and select bags and dresses are 20 percent off; fall and winter skirts and select shoes are 25 percent off; scarves and hats are 30 percent off; and blazers and shirts are 35 percent off. While you're there, peruse the box of LPs (Loretta Lynn, Jackson 5, Billy Idol) and the fun and nicely priced jewelry at the counter.

PAMPER CHASE
Windburned and brittle after a long, cold winter, our skin is ready for a little TLC. Jacquelyn's Waterfront Day Spa (107 Atlantic Ave., Boston, 617-367-1389, www.jacspa.com) offers relief in the form of a 1 1/2-hour facial and skin product consultation (the "Fresh Faces Facial") for $80. Not bad, you say, but if you're simply looking for tips on what cleansers, lotions, and makeup work best for you, book a free half-hour product consultation. Owner Jacquelyn Ezzell will sort through your supplies and tell you what to keep and what's best discarded.

END OF THE LINE
We were recently tipped off about a small, unnamed store in Norwood that holds the last of the Barry & Boyle line, an attractive collection of women's active wear formerly carried at the prestigious Carnegie Abbey Club in Portsmouth, R.I., and St. Andrews in Scotland. Most items in the Norwood store are $20 (or around 70 percent below retail); find sleeveless Polos, jackets, short- and long-sleeve shirts, skorts, and more. (Check www.barryandboyle.com for an idea.) The store, which is at 1341 Providence Highway (Route 1), Norwood, will be open until the end of April. (The store's located in the Norwood Park South Mall next to the TGI Friday's restaurant.) 781-255-5992.

SHIRT STOP
Just in time for the Red Sox home opener Monday, Fat Tony's Sports (273 Newbury St., Boston, 617-236-4990, www.fat-tonys.com) is offering half off its authentic and replica road jerseys. We found Beckett, Ortiz, Papelbon, Dice-K, and even Schilling among the authentic jerseys (originally $199.99, now $99.99). Replica jerseys (now $39.99) can be customized for an additional $35.

DISCOUNTS BY DESIGN
If your perfect weekend afternoon involves meandering among high-end home goods and imagining how they'd look at your place, head to the Boston Design Center's Treasure Hunt Sale, happening this Saturday and Sunday. Showrooms including Baker Knapp & Tubbs, Brookline Village Antiques, EcoModern Design, and Webster & Co./Ralph Lauren Home will offer discounts of up to 70 percent on furniture, lighting, fine art, rugs, and more during the center's only planned sample sale of the year. See www.bostondesign.com for details. Boston Design Center is at One Design Center Place (on the waterfront), 617-449-5501 AMI ALBERNAZ
