EYE FOR STYLE
Stylish optical boutique Robert Marc's first-ever Boston sale is on now through the end of the month. Marc's own designs, sported by Nicole Kidman, Matt Damon, Uma Thurman, and other notables, will be 50-70 percent off, as will pieces from other premier collections including Lunor, FreudenHaus, and Gimme:Glasses. While you're at the sale, pick up a coupon for 20 percent off lenses to fit in your new frames. Robert Marc is at 35 Newbury St., 617-450-4900. www.robertmarc.com.

A GEM OF A SALE
Just in time for Mother's Day, Father's Day, and graduation, Long's Jewelers is hosting the biggest sale in its 130-year history. Starting on Saturday (and ending April 26), most items in the store will be 25-70 percent off, including engagement rings, gemstones, and watches from designers including Roberto Coin, Breitling, Cartier, and TAG Heuer. If you're so inclined, check out the sizable collection of certified diamonds, all on sale. Long's locations include 100 Summer St.,

Boston, 617-426-8500; 323 Speen St., Natick, 508-650-2900; and

60A South Ave., Burlington, 781-272-5400. Find others at www.longsjewelers.com.

ON CONSIGNMENT
We know charities have taken a hit in these lean times. So we were excited to hear about Tra Tutti (www.tratutti.com), a new high-end, online consignment shop that directs 20 percent of sales dollars to organizations including Rosie's Place, Dress for Success Boston, and The Home for Little Wanderers. The merchandise selection is still building, though we found springy Lilly Pulitzer dresses, Ralph Lauren and True Religion jeans, Manolo Blahniks, and more.

DEALS WITHIN REACH
We love the sleek, modern aesthetic of Design Within Reach, although our finances are not always so flexible. Fortunately, both the South End and Cambridge locations offer good deals on floor samples, with particularly robust selections right now. Recent finds in the South End included an Eames walnut stool (left) for $580, down from $829, and Globus chairs by Stua for $179, originally $378. Cambridge deals included an Eros chair by Philippe Starck for Kartell ($420, down from $700) and a 1951 Counter Stool by BMW for Emeco ($200, down from $415). Stop in at 519 Tremont St., Boston, 617-451-7801, or 1030 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, 617-576-3690. www.dwr.com.

FREE FASHION ADVICE
You've put away your winter clothes and unearthed your favorite spring top - but you're not so sure what to wear with it. On Saturday, fashion coach Susan Kanoff will be dispensing advice at Thirty Petals Boutique (34 Leonard St., Belmont, 617-489-2334, www.thirtypetals.com). Along with the free mini-consults, the boutique will take 20 percent off your entire purchase - so you can get the skirt, sandals, or accessories that'll make your top even more fabulous.
