A trio of today-only discounts
A few deals that are on today (because, hey, 'tis the season): OldNavy.com is taking 20 percent off all purchases with the checkout code ONSAVE20; JCrew.com is taking 30 percent off women's tees and knits (mostly shirts, but a few sweaters and dresses as well). Jos. A. Bank has most of its items at half-price today (except shoes and gift cards); online, we saw cashmere scarves and select merino wool sweaters for $29 and cashmere sweaters for $69 and $99. (Sale is online and in stores.)

Here's an incentive to head to downtown Waltham on a Tuesday: The Embassy Cinema offers $6-tickets, and accessories and gift store Gourmet Pottery runs a 10 percent discount (all day). The shop’s heartfelt and whimsical selection includes fair trade serving ware and jewelry; decorative tiles and candles; hand-knit baby clothing; novelty items and greeting cards; and, of course, pottery.
