Party like an animal

Book a party with Animal Adventures and this skunk named Simon or his friends the ferret, alligator, python, and lizard, can be brought to your house for a starting rate of $275 for a one-hour interactive party. If you’d rather keep the animals out of the house, you can plan your party at the company’s Bolton facility—it’s $325 for 25 people to attend a two-hour party.
“Kids love the animals,” said Brian Miller, office manager. “The opportunity to get up close and personal is exciting.”
A magical day
Why do children love magic? We asked Mike Bent of “Mike Bent’s AbraKidabra!”
“Because they believe in it, they get caught up in the moment. I’ve had kids say to me: ‘I know how you did that.’ And I’m thinking: ‘Uh oh... busted!’ And then they give their answer—‘magic.’ Kids love magic, but they don’t like being fooled,” said Bent. “During the show, I’m one of them—I’m as surprised as the kids when the magic moments happen in my show. The key to a great show is to have the kids laughing from the beginning to the end—comedy with strong, fun magic—that’s what kids love, that’s what makes the perfect party.”
His parties range from $300 to $400 and he offers two shows for two different age groups— 4- to 8-year-olds and a show that teaches 9- to 14-year-olds the secrets of magic.
