Couples tried for chance at $20K diamond ring

Friends Laurie Travers of Stoneham and Timothy Lampa of East Boston did not think they had enough points to win the prize while waiting in line for the winner announcement at the Liquor Store. What would they do with the ring? 'Good question. I am still figuring that out,' Lampa said. But the friends thought the event was fun. 'I love doing crazy stuff like this,' Lampa said.
