Beauty gurus who made it big
Lisa Price, Carol's Daughter
After a run with The Cosby Show, Lisa Price took $100 from her own pocket to create homespun beauty products out of her own kitchen in 1992, according to her bio. She sweetly named her line Carols Daughter after her mother, and in just under two decades locked down a trifecta spokesmodel team of model Selita Ebanks and songstresses Solange Knowles and Cassie.
One particular member of Price's celebrity clientele loves the line so much that she lent more than her face to a product set -- think, Mrs. Will Smith, as in Jada (Pinkett-Smith), and the brand's Jada's Dynamic Duo hair care system.
