Bill and Kerry Brett's 'Inspirational Women'

When Ayanna Pressley was elected as a city councilor at-large on November 3, 2009, she became the first woman of color to serve on the governing board in its 100-year history. Ayanna, the only woman in the field of 15 candidates, immediately set out to support those she saw as underserved by forming and chairing the Committee on Women & Healthy Communities.
