Covered in snow, Finland certainly looks like a winter wonderland. And appropriately, Christmas celebrations last three days, filled with feasting, steam baths, caroling, and gifts. Here, a Finnish Santa Claus poses with his reindeer in Romanevi, on the Arctic circle in Lapland, as he was "organizing" his long journey to all the children of the world. Santa visits children with a team of elves, who are said to tip him off to who's been naughty or nice, but while the children are awake on Christmas eve.
