The most egregiously necessary apologies
Public apologies are a dime a dozen -- just ask South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford. Lately we've heard, "Sorry" from the likes of, clockwise from top left, Manny Ramirez, Glen "Big Baby" Davis, Miss California Carrie Prejean, and radio host Jay Severin.
These, however, are small potatoes in the humble history of the public mea culpa. Take a look at some of the most egregiously warranted apologies ... and the offenses behind them.
