The Chamber continues to work with legislative leaders and business groups for the adoption of an unemployment insurance (UI) rate freeze provision before tax bills for Q1 are issued.  Unless state leaders enact a rate freeze immediately, Massachusetts’ UI tax burden will increase by $500 million, forcing contribution levels up by more than 30 percent to $943 per covered employee, leaving Bay State businesses with a UI tax burden far exceeding all other states.

The Internship Collaborative, a partnership led by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and the Greater Boston Chamber, has announced an expanded partnership with the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce, officially bringing InternHub.com to students, employers, and career counselors in that region.
