Business for Federal Research Funding, a coalition of over 50 Chambers of Commerce from across the country led by the Greater Boston Chamber, is planning a DC Fly-in for June 9th.  The purpose of the fly-in will be to meet with legislative leaders around the need to increase Federal Research Funding, a step that will drive innovation and spur economic growth.

Last month the MA Senate approved a bill combining unemployment insurance system reforms with a minimum wage increase.  This Senate approval came after both reforms had been passed separately in the Senate, and combined in the House.  The House and Senate bills still differ on the unemployment insurance wage base, the size of a minimum wage increase, and other issues.  In the coming weeks, a six-member conference committee will try to forge a compromise between the House and Senate.
