How should Boston commemorate the one-year anniversary of the September 11 attacks?
Officials in New York City announced today they will commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with a ceremony at Ground Zero at which former Mayor Giuliani will begin a reading of the victims' names. Several Broadway plays will go dark and many of the companies that lost employees in the attacks are holding private memorial services. What should Boston do to mark the Sept. 11 anniversary? Should workers get time off to attend services? What sorts of ceremonies do you think Boston should hold?

I definitely think workers should be given time off to be with loved ones.

Boston should not commemorate the one-year anniversary of 9/11. It has been an embarrassment to Bostonian's because two of the plans were hi-jacked from here.

Fire that security co. at Logan again and close the whole airport for the day!

Of course Boston should commemorate the loss of victims of Sept. 11, 2001. There should be a public memorials and workers should be allowed out of work to attend.

I say a public recitation of the Consitution of the United States followed by an explanation of Executive Order 199i by Dubya himself would make me feel warm and fuzzy...

I think that Boston should plan a ceremony that centers around the victims that were on the plane. Two planes that were hijacked where from the Boston area. Perhaps some sort of eternal flame at Logan airport in their rememberance? My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims.

I will spend the day realizing that "organized religion" played a big part in the attack on 9-11 as it played a big part in the rape and cover up of those boys by priests. I will spend the day being thankful that I am alive and healthy, and strive to spend each day doing something constructive, because it may be my last. I will spend the day being thankful for my family and friends, and resolve to build stronger bonds with them.

I think that Sept 11th should be a national day of mourning. I think this would give everyone a chance to be with thier thoughts and reflect on those who were lost and those left behind.
