The New Hampshire Board of Education has renewed the charter of the Academy of Science and Design. At the end of its initial five-year charter, schools are required by state law to show they have met the goals of their original charter in order for it to be renewed for an additional five years. A team led by former Nashua associate superintendent Ed Hendry spent two days at the school in October and recommended the charter be renewed. The academy opened in Merrimack in 2007 and moved to Nashua last summer.![]()
