The former Johnnie’s Foodmaster at the intersection of Broadway and Alewife Brook Parkway will reopen as a Stop & Shop, according to an announcement from the supermarket chain. All 10 Foodmaster locations closed in November, and the store has been vacant since. It is the second former Foodmaster location acquired by Stop & Shop. In January, a former Foodmaster reopened as a Stop & Shop on Salem Street in Medford. Stop & Shop has acquired the lease for the Somerville location, but no timetable is set for the store’s opening.
