Requests for designs funds to refurbish the Pompositticut School and build a new fire station both fell short of their required two-thirds majority approval at Special Town Meeting on Nov. 14. The Pompositicut renovations drew 189 votes in favor, with 124 opposed, leaving it 20 votes shy of the requirement, according to a posting on the town’s website, www.stow-ma.gov. The vote on design funds for a new fire station was 202 in favor to 113 opposed, or 8 less than the two-thirds tally.
