Police investigating death of person whose body was found in East Boston alley
Boston police homicide detectives are in East Boston this morning investigating a death in the 200 block of Chelsea Street.
Police believe the victim was stabbed inside an apartment and staggered into an alley, collapsed, and died.
Police said they were called at 6:56 a.m. because someone had died from cardiac arrest, which triggered the death investigation.
Police have created a crime scene around three buildings with the primary focus apparently being the building at 220A Chelsea St.
Neighbors said the person’s body was removed by the state medical examiner’s office shortly before 11 a.m.
No further details were immediately available.
