Mass. receives high marks for protecting legal rights of abused and neglected children

Two national groups focused on helping abused and neglected children released a report today rating Massachusetts as one of the best states in the country for protecting the legal rights of such children.
Massachusetts was among three states that were awarded an A+ rating by First Star and the Children’s Advocacy Institute at the University of San Diego School of Law. The two other states were Connecticut and Oklahoma.
Twelve states earned A’s, 11 received B’s, and 25 states were given C’s or lower.
