Man in his 20s fatally shot on Leyland Street in Dorchester
A man in his 20s was shot to death in Dorchester Thursday night, Boston police said.
The victim was shot on Leyland Street about 7:40 p.m. and later pronounced dead.
Police said it was the 17th homicide in Boston this year, compared with 11 at this time last year.
No arrests have been made.
Officials said they do not believe the shooting was random.
