District attorney asks for public’s help in solving suspicious death of homeless man in Charlestown’s Paul Revere Park
Normand Varieur sustained a serious head injury. He was found unconscious on May 20 on a fishing pier at Paul Revere Park.
He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he died four days later.
Varieur was spotted by a state employee, who then called authorities. Varieur is believed to have grown up in Maine, where his family was located.
Conley said those who visit the popular park should not be in fear, but he would not speculate on whether Varieur had been targeted.
