Forecasters call for a mostly sunny weekend
Last weekend was a grim washout. This weekend should be a whole different kettle of sunshine.
The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies Saturday with a chance of showers arriving in the afternoon. Highs will stretch into the upper 70s and lower 80s.
On Sunday, expect mostly sunny skies again, with the same warm temperatures.
Meanwhile today, showers and thunderstorms are expected to diminish around sunset and overnight lows will drop to the upper 40s and lower 50s.
On Friday, skies will be partly sunny and there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Western Massachusetts and southwest New Hampshire are most likely to get hit. Temperatures will edge slightly higher, reaching the mid-70s to around 80.Alli Knothe can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
