MIT building evacuated due to gas leak
An MIT building was evacuated today due to a gas leak in a basement labratory.
The leak began in Building 6, the Eastman Laboratories. The building, located near Memorial Drive, was evacuated and the Cambridge Fire Department responded to the scene.
An MIT spokeswoman said the leak has been sealed.
No injuries were reported. Cambridge fire officials could not be reached for comment.Alli Knothe can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
