Break out the beach umbrellas! The weekend looks like a scorcher, with temperatures rising into the 90s.
Saturday will bring temperatures as high as 95, mostly sunny skies, and high humidity, said National Weather Service meteorologist Kim Buttrick. There is a slight risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon, and a higher chance of storms after 8 p.m. and into the overnight hours.
Showers could linger Sunday morning, but by 8 a.m. the clouds will make way for mostly sunny skies for the rest of the day. Temperatures will be in the high 80s to low 90s.
Today will be mostly sunny, heating up to 83 by the afternoon. Buttrick said there will only be moderate humidity. Tonight will be partly cloudy and mild, with temperatures dropping to near 70.
