Free Silver Line service to continue between South Station and Logan Airport
Massachusetts Port Authority officials announced today that they will continue free Silver Line service between South Station and Logan International Airport through September.
The free service, which was started June 6, is intended to improve traffic flow at terminals, heighten public awareness of transit options to the airport, and to “further increase Logan’s national leadership in promoting high occupancy vehicle (HOV) usage,” Massport officials said.
Transportation Secretary Richard A. Davey said the program was “already producing positive results.”
“Moving passengers quickly and efficiently to their destinations is one of our top priorities at MassDOT,” he said. “This program is a great example of the kind of collaboration that transportation reform has made possible.”
